Agassiz Association minutes, 1881-1899.

Minutes of meetings of the naturalist organization for young people, the Agassiz Association, in Hartford, Connecticut. Louis Agassiz was a noted naturalist and clubs formed in his name appeared all over the country. Caroline Hewins appears to have been the adult leader as her name appears frequently as the reader of certain books and passages. The group met in the Young Men's Institute, which became the Hartford Public Library and sometimes took walks through the city to identify plants and animals.

0.25 linear foot (4 volumes).
